Pop superstar Sam Smith is coming to Beijing

The British pop crooner is all set to play in October

British pop singer Sam Smith is set to perform in Beijing this autumn, with a concert confirmed for October 25 at the Cadillac Arena. A Shanghai date is also likely once those pesky permits have been chopped and whatnot.

Having started out guesting on dance-pop records, Smith turned his hand to heartstring-tugging balladry when he launched his solo career proper, and it's fair to say it's worked out pretty well for him with a string of chart-topping tracks to his name at the age of just 26.

If you're somehow unfamiliar with his work, you might know him from hits such as 'I'm Not the Only One', 'Stay With Me' and the Bond film soundtracking 'Writing's On the Wall', or perhaps from his residency on Wagas' playlists.

For those of you with money on your minds, tickets for the show go on sale on June 7 at 10am, priced from 480-1,880RMB.
